Our studio is a unique space in the industry. We are looking to add a 3D visualization artist and modeler to our creative team. You will be working closely with our team of in-house developers, designers, animators, and builders to create polished and 3D models for 3D printing and fabrication. Work will be project to project based but could lead to full-time work for the right candidate in the near future.
REQUIREMENTS (Please read carefully and do not apply if you do not meet ALL of the below requirements)
Must be able to create finished files for 3D printing.
Have a solid understanding of the relationship between the world of 3D modeling and physical construction/fabrication.
Have excellent polygon and subdivision surface modeling skills.
Must be able to create high quality, accurate models based on initial concepts and reference.
Must know how to scale 3D models for fabrication/printing.
Must provide example of 3D models that were fabricated.
Expert knowledge of 3D modeling, custom texture creation, and rendering.
Expert in the Adobe Suite.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to interface with clients respectfully and professionally.
Ability to exercise discretion with sensitive information.
Deliver great service to our clients and help facilitate their needs.
Highly organized and high attention to detail.
Must be able to work in house at our South Bay studio. (No remote work)
Acceptable modeling packages include, but not limited to Maya, 3D Studio Max, Modo, and Cinema 4D.
DESIRED SKILLS (not required but a plus)
Proficient in SketchUp
Proficient in Key Shot
Proficient knowledge in Rhino
Experience in physical construction and/or fabrication.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
